Information data : University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: th-n04. Maybe in or near Canton (Guangzhou). John Cornelius Griggs is the maternal grandfather of John Griggs Thompson, the mathematician. The man behind Sun Yat-sen (and in the middle of this photograph) is probably SYS's body guard, Morris 'Two-gun' Cohen, a British Jew from the East End of London.
