Information data : Sun Yatsen (right) and Huang Xing (left) during a lecture in Zhang garden the 17 July 1916. The Zhang Garden (張園) opened in 1885. It soon became famous as a major place for entertainment. Its heyday was in 1890-1905. It later lost out in the competition with the various gardens and amusement centers like the Great World that were created in the city.
