John Cornelius Griggs is the maternal grandfather of the mathematician John Griggs Thompson. The man behind Sun Yat-sen (and second from the right in this photograph), is probably SYS's body guard, Morris 'Two-gun' Cohen, a British Jew from the East End of London.
