Information data : The old Russell & Co. at No. 7, The Bund. It was completed in 1852, and at one time hosted the U.S. Consulate. In 1881, when Russell & Co. moved to new quarters at No. 6, it was taken by the Telegraph companies (Great Northern and Eastern Extension). The 1907 Telegraph building was built directly in front of it. This building survived at least into the 1920s, but its date of demolition is currently unknown.
