Information data : University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: UB01-19. From an album held in University of Bristol Library, Special Collections. Liu RongTa (Six Banyan Trees Pagoda), also know as Hua Ta (Flower, or Flowery, Pagoda) was first constructed in 1047. Su Dongpo wrote a poem about the six luxuriant banyan trees, after a visit in 1100. The pagoda is nine stories on the outside, but seventeen stories inside.
