Information data : These pictures were taken by Sha Fei during his short stay in Shanghai in 1936. The photographer left no record of where he took these pictures. The set of twelve pictures available here are the only known surviving images from Shanghai. They come from a private collection and were made available to me through the kind help of Eliza Ho (Ohio State University) [http://uas.osu.edu/shafei].
