Information data : The date is based on the absence of the McBain building erected in 1913-16 (and that of the Russian consulate erected in 1914) and the presence of the new Shanghai Club completed in 1910. Moreover, the building of the former Comptoir d’Escompte is missing (C). It was demolished around 1912. New building on the Masonic Hall site (1909-10). Given the fact that construction is under way on the MacBain and Union sites, the picture could be dated 1913.
