Information data : The New Asia Hotel (Xinya dajiulou ) opened c.1933. It was on N. Szechuen Road, with its entrance on Tiantong lu behind the General Post Office. It was a nine-story mansion and was the first hotel in Shanghai funded, designed, built and managed by Chinese.
