Information data : The picture was taken before or slightly after the name of Shanghai East-West streets were changed from numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) to names of cities (except for "Canton" in English but "Guangdong" in Chinese) in 1865. Pakhoi road is the circular road at the bottom of the second race course.The section shown here however, is the short straight section between Chekiang and Fokkien roads.
