Information data : University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: pa02-089. Photo from an album (UoB reference pa02). This caption is again written in biro (also see information data at: pa02-053). Woosung II was built in 1918 by Taikoo Dockyard & Engineering Co., Hong Kong. She was captured by the Japanese in 1942 and renamed "Reizen Maru". On 18 January 1945 she struck a mine in the River Yangtse. Heavily overloaded, there were more than 2,000 casualties when she sank.
