Information data : The Saint Ignatius Cathedral was built in 1906-1910 by the Jesuits as the centerpiece of a large complex, which included a foundling home, an orphanage, schools, workshops and even a meteorology station. It was located west of the French Concession nearby a village called Xujiahui (Zikawei).
