Information data : The Astor House Hotel was established in 1860 by Peter Felix Richards. The building shown in the photo dates to 1911. It changed its name in 1861 (originally Richard's Hotel). The hotel was later owned and managed by Central Stores Ltd.that also owned the Palace Hotel.
